If you trust your boyfriend you shouldn’t feel threatened. Some people just aren’t into PDA and that can be a big determining factor here. I know when Brad and I hang out with friends of his (male or female) he barely touches me — in fact, after I met a couple of his friends for the first time, they told him one of the reasons they liked me was because I wasn’t constantly trying to cling onto him. Even after we leave it will take him a little bit to return to “boyfriend mode” and really want to hold hands or anything.

Really though, if you trust your guy (which you should unless he’s given you a reason not to) don’t worry about it. He probably just felt a little uncomfortable in the situation.
